What is RO DBT?

The counterintuitive idea behind Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO DBT) is that it’s possible to have too much self-control. RO DBT is an empirically based therapy that effectively treats folks who struggle with excessive control. Over the course participants will learn skills to increase flexibility and openness, enhance connections, and be a little silly (but not too silly because therapy is serious work 😆! Facilitators will connect RO DBT skills to work being done with clients who have eating disorders or overcontrolled temperaments. We will encourage new-learning & skills building for participants to use with clients and their own self-discovery.
