iaedp™ AAEDP-BIPOC Committee proudly Celebrates Latinx Heritage
This year, as we honor Latinx Heritage Month in the United States, we invite members of our professional community to learn about the rich contributions of the Latinx community. We honor the activism and leadership of our Latinx colleagues, including many who are actively challenging the myth that Latinxs are not impacted by eating disorders. We applaud the innovation and creativity of those advancing culturally sensitive and socially just treatment options for Latinxs in need. We recognize the devastating effects that COVID and racism have on these communities. You are not alone. We see you, hear you, and stand with you. We are grateful for Latinx ancestors’ and the legacies they’ve passed on about healing, listening, teaching, creativity and strength.
Your legacies live on.
