iaedp™ International Chapter supports 2019 World Eating Disorders Day WEDOACT by conducting Live Events and Webinars in their Respective Countries
In commemoration of the 4th Annual World Eating Disorders Action Day (WEDOACT) on Sunday June 2, the iaedp™ International Chapter, led by its President Dr. Rosanna Mauro de Maya, MS, RD, CEDRD-S in Costa Rica, is proud to bring together our Global Chapter Chairs in Bulgaria, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Kenya, and the Middle East to collaborate with the this year’s focus “Eating Disorders Can’t Afford to Wait”!
The World Eating Disorders Action Day (#WeDoAct) is a grassroots movement uniting activists and professionals across the globe with the aim is to expand global awareness of eating disorders as genetically linked, treatable illnesses that can affect anyone.

7:00 am – Awareness and action talk for Pediatric Residents of Robert Reid Cabral Hospital.
9.30 am – Awareness and Action activities within Dominico Americano School, Genesis School and Serafin de Asis Schools
End of the day: Awareness and action talk for the Psychology students at Catholic University of Santo Domingo
iaedp™ International Chapter Middle East Co-Chairs Riham Al-Reshaid and Dr. Khadeja Mousa and Co-Founders of Wise Mind Psychotherapy Center in Dubai, will host live Instagram videos every 2 hours starting at 9AM and ending at 9pm (GMT +4) on their Instagram page @wisemindcenter. They will invite guests from other areas in the Middle East.
Topics will include an overview of Eating Disorders, signs, symptoms, and how to help someone who may be struggling. Guests will share personal stories of recovery from Eating Disorders. Segments will conclude with a short Q&A.
